Art belongs to everyone.

We build the technology to make it truly so.

Museum rooms are full of wonders. And of visitors who don't notice them.

Audio guides that are too technical, panels that inform without helping you understand. People leave the museum with a few photos, and nothing more.

That's why we built Parts. It's not an audio guide. It's a new way to explore art.

The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, in full, as you would see it in a museum room.

Every artwork, in parts.

In an instant, the artwork in front of you appears on your phone, broken down into its elements: the sky, the cypress, the church.

On screen: The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. Light outlines separate the sky, the wave, the moon, the cypress, the hills, the church and the village. At the bottom, a row of buttons: Introduction, Sky, Cypress, Church, Hills, Village.

One part at a time.

Slide your finger across the screen. A vibration marks the border between one element and the next. Each part is narrated by a clear, accurate audio description.

“The cypress stands on the left side of the painting, in the foreground. It does not have the natural, symmetrical shape of a real tree: it is twisted and undulating, as if animated by an uncontrollable inner force.”

From the audio description of the cypress
On screen: the cypress is fully lit while the rest of the painting is dimmed. Below, the audio player with elapsed time, Text button and playback speed.

No detail goes unnoticed.

An artwork described all at once is soon forgotten. By exploring it one part at a time, anyone can build a mental map of it: even without seeing it.

On screen: a painting divided into four quadrants. The top left one is lit and described by the audio, the other three stay in shadow.

The way to explore art that everyone was waiting for.

Why museums choose Parts.

  • A memorable visit.

Every visitor explores each part of the artwork in depth, at their own pace. And leaves the museum with the memory of a powerful, unique experience.

  • The museum continues beyond its walls.

Artworks live on outside the museum: they stay in your library and you can come back to them whenever you like.*

    *Available with participating museums.

  • No devices to manage.

No outdated devices to sanitise or repair. Visitors download the app on their own phone and they're ready to go.
